Arsenal teenager Chuba Akpom is already putting in the hard graft as he aims to be at peak fitness for pre-season.
The 19-year-old has been training on his own, and shared a photo on his Twitter page showing his 149,000 followers of his determination to come in faster and stronger, in order to make an impact.
2015/16 is a crucial season for the England under-20 international, who has been prolific at youth level for his country and in under-21 football for Arsenal.
He did however fail to make an impact during his late season loan spell at Nottingham Forest, failing to score a single goal in 466 minutes of football.
He is yet to net for the Gunners first team either, despite making a handful of substitute appearances last season, and needs to kick on in pre-season to show what he is made of.
Describing himself by a new nickname 'The Ak', Akpom is coming in with the right mindset, that he needs to work hard to put himself in the best possible place to succeed.
With a strong pre-season behind him, there is every chance he will receive more competitive first team chances, and be confident enough to take advantage.
