Gets the tissues at the ready!

After the 2004 Tsunami hit Indonesia, over 200,000 people were killed and thousands of children were left homeless. One of those children was a seven-year-old called Martunis, who lost his mother and sister during the disaster and was forced to fend for himself for 21 long days. The youngster was surrounded by the dead and forced to survive on bread, noodles and filthy water.

After being found, Martunis appeared on TV across the globe in his knock-off Portugal kit with Rui Costa on the back (I had the exact same one!). As a result, the Portuguese national team invited him over to Portugal and donated 40,000 euros to rebuild his home, and Martunis revealed his dreams of playing in and for Portugal with his hero Cristiano Ronaldo

Well, get the tissues at the ready because things are about to get even more emotional! Over a decade on and Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon have now signed the 17-year-old for their U19 squad. However, this is more than just football, as Sporting are offering him the chance to learn and study marketing.

We're sure it won't be long until Hollywood grab hold of this story and start playing with our emotions all over again!
