Confirmed: Udinese sign Ali Adnan, linked with loan move to Watford

The 'Iraqi Gareth Bale' has been confirmed as a Udinese player.

Watford have recently been linked with a host of new signings ahead of their Premier League assault next season.

One name that has cropped up has been Ali Adnan. Known as the 'Iraqi Gareth Bale, he currently plies his trade for Caykur Rizespor in Turkey. The Iraqi international, who has 34 caps for his country, is however believed to be Watford bound - via sister club Udinese.

It was recently reported by the Watford Observer that the talented left-sided player is set to head out on loan from Udinese, after his deal to join the Serie A club is finalised.

That has now happened.

Udinese, who are also owned by the Pozzo family, confirmed the deal was done yesterday. They confirmed on their official site yesterday that the deal was done and that he would be presented to the press on Friday at noon.

That would certainly hint that Udinese plan on keeping the player, despite the links to Watford.

However, in recent days, the rumour has been that Adnan will in fact head to another sister club in La Liga outfit Granada, as reported by Mondo Udinese.

Hopefully some clearance on his future will arise with the press conference tomorrow.
