Leeds have been linked with a move for the midfielder.
Sheffield United will resist any Leeds United interest in midfielder Jamie Murphy and value him in excess of £1 million, according to the Sheffield Star.
Leeds have recently been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, with United so far conducting a sensible and promising summer of transfers ahead of the new Championship season.
The Star, however, suggest the Blades are not inclined to sell Murphy and have placed a seven-figure valuation on the midfielder.
Worth the money?
Considering the fact Leeds could be spending a couple of million on Chris Wood this summer, £1m+ is no laughing matter and worth serious consideration.
The Yorkshire Evening Post, of course, have suggested Leeds could offer Billy Sharp in return for Murphy's services, which would certainly make things more straightforward.
That aside, though, the Whites will have to take a good, hard look at what Murphy can offer from out wide. His 12 goals last term suggest he has ability - but it's never wise to underestimate the jump between League One and the Championship, as Leeds have often seen in the past.
