There were some new players on show when Leeds United took to the training field this week.
Leeds United’s players continued their pre-season training on Wednesday with some new faces in the ranks.
Journalist Adam Pope posted a series of photographs on his official Twitter account, showing the club’s latest addition Chris Wood in action along with fellow summer signing Lee Erwin and trialist Adam Drury.
Wood signed for Leeds on Tuesday evening for an undisclosed fee, putting pen to paper on a four-year deal that will excite the vast majority of the club’s fans.
Wood may not have got much game-time at former club Leicester City recently but he is a proven goal-threat in the Championship and he could be exactly what Leeds need to push for promotion next season.
Erwin will also add more punch up front, having previously found his scoring touch in his final few matches at Motherwell. But perhaps the most interesting player on show this week is Drury.
The 21-year-old is equally adept at right-back or on the wing and he went on trial at Leeds having previously been on the books at Manchester City.
He started his youth career at the Blues in 2007 and while he failed to make the grade at the Etihad Stadium he has previously enjoyed loan spells at Burton Albion and St. Mirren.
