The giant Dane is looking forward to getting started with The Addicks.
The giant striker, who stands an imperious 6ft 7ins, only joined the Italian club from Brondby last summer but the Danish international has failed to have an impact in Italian football – playing just four times for the club.
Makieniok has now made his feelings about the move well and truly clear.
The 24-year-old seemed over the moon with his move to The Valley this afternoon, posting this message on Twitter:
I'm SO excited. Cant wait to start tomorrow and meet the other guys. The Valley looks AMAZING!! #CAFC— Simon Makienok (@SimonMakienok) July 1, 2015
Charlton have a great talent on their hands, despite his Italian woes.
Prior to that switch he scored 36 goals in 80 games for Danish outfit Brondby and also had a good scoring record during his time at HB Koge.
His size and presence will also mean he should suit the style of play in The Championship and be the perfect foil for Tony Watt and Igor Vetokele up front for The Addicks.
He is the club’s third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Patrick Bauer and El-Hadji Ba.
