Manchester United transfer news: Ramos and De Gea impasse and Arda Turan decision on Friday

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

According to a report from the Mirror, Manchester United will only increase their offer for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos if the Spanish club do the same for David de Gea.

The latter has long been linked with an Old Trafford exit but for now he remains a United player, and as things stand he will be returning to pre-season training in a matter of days.

That will be great news for the United fans eager to see the international ‘keeper remain but the Mirror claims there is an acceptance that at some point the two players’ futures are likely to be intertwined.

United will reportedly only improve their £30million offer for Ramos if Real offer more than their initial bid for De Gea, believed to be just below £20million.

In other news, the Manchester Evening News reports that alleged United target Arda Turan will confirm his next destination on Friday.

The Atletico Madrid midfielder has recently been tipped to move to Old Trafford but it will be another couple of days before he reveals all, and considering the players currently on the books at United it seems unlikely they would move for yet another attacking midfielder.
