Liverpool have been linked with a move for the young Swedish left-back so what did Reds fans think of his performance in the U21 Euro final?

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Liverpool are interested in Sweden U21 international Ludwig Augustinsson and are ready to pay £2million for the left-back.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a wonderful U21 European Championship campaign, ultimately helping his country win the title at the expense of Tiago Ilori’s Portugal in the final.

The score-line was 0-0 after extra-time, leading to a penalty shoot-out during which Augustinsson converted before one of the players of the tournament, William Carvalho, saw his tired penalty saved and Sweden crowned the victors.

Augustinsson has shone during the competition and the Mail suggests that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers sees the player as a good back-up option to Alberto Moreno.

The player has appeared 19 times for his current club FC Copenhagen, having only recently signed for them, but it seems he may be on the move again for a relatively cheap fee.
