Former Sheffield Wednesday footballer Michele di Piedi is still going strong at the age of 34.
The veteran striker has signed a deal with Venezuelan club Metropolitanos, report Italian website Calciomercato.
It is claimed he is to become the first Italian to play in the South American country, as he continues a career which has seen him described as a footballing globetrotter.
In recent years he has played in Cyprus, Norway, Lithuania, Myanmar, and most recently Indonesia, having last played in England with Doncaster Rovers in 2006/07.
Di Piedi signed with Sheffield Wednesday in 2000, where he spent three seasons, winning over the support with his lively displays and flamboyance.
The striker has signed an 18-month contract with Metropolitanos, telling Calciomercato: "I am very proud, is a great opportunity."
Di Piedi added he had scored in friendly match for his new club already, who play in the Venezuelan top flight in an 8,000 capacity stadium.
