Leeds' summer of transfers so far has left the club in a promising position.
There are still two months until the summer transfer deadline, meaning Leeds United could still welcome their fair share of crazy deals between now and September.
So far, however, the unthinkable is happening. Yes, Leeds are actually showing a positive, sensible approach in the transfer market.
Indeed, the signing of young forward Lee Erwin looks good on paper. Leeds need goals and the 21-year-old looks like he can provide a few.
All in all, what do we have? A far cry from some of the poor signings of last summer and a stable, reasoned approach to recruitment.
As stated, there is still time for a bit of Massimo madness - but the fact Adam Pearson is now heavily involved in the daily running of Leeds as a club, as well as Martyn Glover’s relatively new presence as head of recruitment, certainly seem to have had a calming influence.
There appears to have been a shift of focus at Leeds: quality not quantity. And there also seems to be some ambition and clout behind United’s transfer-market activity. Whites fans certainly have plenty to be cautiously optimistic about.
