Confirmed: West Ham starting XI to play Lusitanos in the Europa League

The 11 players to start for West Ham United in their first match of their extended season have been announced.

West Ham starting XI to play Lusitanos: Randolph, O’Brien, Tomkins, Burke, Page, Oxford, Amalfitano, Poyet, Jarvis, Sakho, Zarate

West Ham United’s academy manager Terry Westley has announced the starting line-up for the club’s Europa League clash with Lusitanos in comments published by the Hammers’ official Twitter account.

While many other players can look forward to a little more relaxation before another campaign begins, West Ham’s participation in the qualifying stages of the Europa League means they kick off competitive matters on Thursday.

But rather than recently appointed West Ham boss Slaven Bilic taking charge of the side, it will be Westley who pits his wits against the Andorrans.

Westley was speaking, along with James Tomkins, ahead of the first leg which takes place at Upton Park tomorrow evening, and he confirmed that some of the young players under his wing will get a chance to impress.

“We’ve got some very exciting young players coming through,” Westley said. “Lewis Page and Reece Oxford will get their opportunities tomorrow.”

He then went on to name his entire starting XI, and you can see the full list below:
