Newcastle United midfielder Vurnon Anita has suggested on social media that he is ready to get back into action.
The Magpies are set to start pre-season training, and the Netherlands international is looking forward to it.
On Monday, the 26-year-old former Ajax star posted the following messages on Twitter and Instagram:

Point to prove
Anita has been on the books of Newcastle since 2012, when he moved from Dutch giants Ajax. However, there is a feeling that things have not gone according to plan.
The midfielder has struggled to live up to expectations, although he was not really that good when he was at Ajax.
The Dutchman is not among the best midfielders in the English top flight and is not even guaranteed a regular place in the starting line-up at Newcastle.
In 2012-13, Anita made 25 Premier League appearances, in which he created 34 chances and had a pass accuracy of 83%.
In 2013-14, the Dutchman scored one goal and created 38 chances in 34 league matches, while having a pass accuracy of 84%.
During the 2014-15 campaign, Anita created six chances in 19 Premier League appearances.
Anita had a pass accuracy of 81% and a shot accuracy of 20%, and won five headers, nine dribbles and 31 tackles.
The 2015-16 season will be important for Anita. With a new head coach coming in, he will have a point to prove and should be looking to impress during pre-season training.
