Swansea's Richards set for Fulham medical

Fulham

HITC Sport understands Swansea City defender Jazz Richards will have a medical at Fulham on Wednesday morning.

HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Fulham are closing in on the signing of Fulham and Wales defender Jazz Richards.

As revealed by HITC Sport earlier this month Fulham were leading the race for the full-back after having a bid accepted by Swansea.

A number of other clubs have shown an interest in Richards, but Fulham remain in pole position to land the 24-year-old.

Swansea were keen on keeping Richards, but the player is keen to move on in search of regular first-team football having found himself behind Kyle Naughton and Angel Rangel in the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium

Fulham boss Kit Symons is a big admirer of Richards having worked with him as assistant boss of Wales and also last season while he was on loan at Fulham.

Richards made 14 appearances on loan at Craven Cottage last season and if he successfully comes through his medical he is poised to join the West London club on a permanent basis.
