The Leeds United defender looks very happy to be back following his permanent signing.
Leeds United have impressed with their summer signings to date, but the man many fans were most desperate to see a deal done for was actually their player as recently as last season.
Sol Bamba impressed from the moment he arrived at Elland Road on loan from Palermo back in January, and after 19 games for the Whites last season the clamour for a permanent deal was considerable.
Finally on 24 June Leeds confirmed that a deal had been done with the 30-year-old Ivorian signing for an undisclosed fee, and in a picture now doing the rounds on social media it seems Bamba is very happy to be back.
In the photograph (with credit to Twitter account @WALMOT3 who shared it online) Bamba is beaming, standing in front of Leeds’ academy and proudly wearing the club’s new training top.
With plenty of new faces already at the club and more tipped to follow, next season could be a very big one for Leeds and their recently appointed manager Uwe Rosler.
With a good start, there is every chance this promising young side could push for promotion back to the Premier League; and in Bamba they have a player who is not only clearly happy to be back but also an experienced talent who can help his teammates navigate the always choppy waters of a Championship campaign.
