Anthony Stokes comments on Twitter after returning to Celtic training

Celtic striker Anthony Stokes was recently linked with Leeds United and Colorado Rapids.

Celtic striker Anthony Stokes has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at returning to training.

The Bhoys have started pre-season training as part of their preparations for the Champions League qualifiers, which start next month.

The Republic of Ireland international is happy to be back at at Lennoxtown and is determined to have a successful 2015-16 campaign.

Following Celtic’s training session on Monday, Stokes made the following post on Twitter:

Stokes has been on the books of Scottish Premiership champions Celtic since 2010, but he is not guaranteed a place in the starting line-up.

The former Sunderland striker’s importance for the Hoops dwindled as the 2014-15 season progressed, with The Daily Mail reporting last month that he could be on his way out of Celtic Park this summer.

Championship club Leeds United and Major League Soccer outfit Colorado Rapids are both interested in Stokes, according to the British newspaper.
