Swansea have beaten off interest from Southampton, Everton and Bournemouth to come close to a deal with Eder.
Eder is set to complete a move to the Liberty Stadium this week, according to a report in the Mirror.
The 27-year-old Portuguese international is undergoing a medical early this week, and is close to confirming a three-year deal with the club, having already held advanced talks with Garry Monk’s men.
It is stated in the report that the Swans have beaten offer interest in Eder from both Bournemouth and Southampton for his signature, whilst Everton have reportedly been keen on the striker, as per O Jogo.
Eder netted 14 goals and registered three assists in 38 games during the 2014/15 season, enjoying his best goalscoring season to date. He also managed to score his first international goal for Portugal in the post-season friendlies, grabbing a lone strike in the 1-0 victory over Italy in June, in what was his 18th appearance.
If the forward can replicate the same form for Swansea as he showed through the last season, the Welsh club look to have agreed a great deal - with a reported £5 million transfer fee on the table for his services.
However, if he reverts to his normal career goalscoring stats, it does not look as if Eder will adapt well to English football, and the Swans may be needing to look elsewhere for striking reinforcements.
