The West Ham summer signing is happy to have met all his new team-mates.

Midfielder Pedro Obiang has thanked the West Ham United first-team squad for their welcome after completing his first training session with his new club.

The east London side signed the 23-year-old recently, with Dimitri Payet being the Upton Park outfit's latest recruit.

After his first Hammers practice session, Obiang took to Twitter with a picture of himself alongside goalkeeper Adrian. The midfielder also said he was happy to meet all of his new team-mates.

Meanwhile, son of co-owner David Sullivan, Jack, delivered a transfer update on another midfielder in Lassana Diarra on Sunday evening.

Diarra is unlikely to join West Ham, however, as he would set the club back £10 million. Whether they need him any longer is another issue, of course, with the likes of Obiang and any other transfer targets still to come strengthening Slaven Bilic's side.

The West Ham squad have been so hard at work in training because they face their first Europa League qualifier this Thursday night - against Lusitanos at Upton Park. The reverse fixture then takes place a week later for Bilic's Hammers.
