Clayton Donaldson

Reading are considering making a second offer for Birmingham City striker Clayton Donaldson, according to Getreading.co.uk.

It has been reported by the British news outlet that the Royals are not backing down despite having an initial bid for the 31-year-old rejected.

Reading reportedly offered Championship rivals Birmingham £500,000 for Donaldson last week, but it was turned down.

However, according to Getreading.co.uk, Steve Clarke’s side will make another bid for the former Brentford striker.

HITC Sport reported last week that West Yorkshire outfit Leeds United and Ipswich Town are also keen on Donaldson, who scored 15 goals and created 51 chances in 46 Championship appearances for Birmingham last season.

Chris Wood

Leeds could miss out on another of their summer transfer targets - Leicester City striker Chris Wood.

Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a bid for the New Zealand international accepted, according to The Express & Star.

Wolves’ initial offer for the former West Bromwich Albion man was rejected by Leicester, but they have been successful in their second attempt.

Leeds also had a bid accepted for Wood last week, and it is now up to the player to decide which club he would like to join this summer.
