Gary Neville reacts on Twitter to Petr Cech joining Arsenal

Petr Cech At Stamford Bridge

Manchester United great Gary Neville comments on Arsenal signing Petr Cech from Premier League champions Chelsea.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has taken to social networking site Twitter to have his say on the transfer of Petr Cech from Chelsea to Arsenal.

The Gunners have recruited the Czech Republic international goalkeeper from their Premier League rivals on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee, as announced on the club’s official website.

Former United defender Neville believes that the signing of Cech has made Arsenal stronger.

Brilliant signing

Cech may be 33 years of age, but he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and a truly world-class player.

The former Rennes star made over 400 appearances during 11 years at Stamford Bridge, winning the Premier League title four times and the Champions League once.

The veteran goalkeeper, who also won the FA Cup on four occasions with the Blues, claimed the Premier League Golden Glove award thrice.

Wojciech Szczesny is the Gunners’ first choice between the posts at the moment, and David Ospina is his back-up.

However, Cech will slot into the Arsenal starting line-up rightaway, and he is going to be a key player in the Gunners’ Premier League title challenge next season.
