Birmingham City midfielder Koby Arthur is due to put pen to paper on a new two-year contract later today, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
The Ghanian who can also play as a forward made his full league debut for Birmingham against Millwall last September and made a total on 10 appearances in all competitions last season having returned from a loan spell at Cheltenham Town.
There are high hopes for the 19-year-old who was Birmingham's Academy Player of the Season back in 2013 and who has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Demarai Gray.
However, Arthur has struggled to find first-team opportunities so far at St Andrew's and will be determined to achieve a run in the side in the near future.
The decision to hand Arthur a new deal is a clear sign of faith in his abilities and could indicate that Birmingham fans may see more of the exciting talent in the coming season.
The deal is due to be completed today with the formalities being put in place so a new contract can be confirmed.
