Tottenham transfer news: £9m Imbula bid rejected; Spurs told Ferreira Carrasco will cost £16m

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

According to a report from the Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur have been told to double their bid for Monaco winger Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.

The report claims Spurs offered £8million for the 21-year-old but that they have been told it will take sufficiently more to tempt the French side into a deal.

Ferreira Carrasco is a left winger who has already played 103 times for the Ligue 1 club, scoring 20 goals and providing 24 assists in the process.

Tottenham could do with more quality in wide positions but it seems in the case of their latest target that will not come cheap.

Speaking of rejected bids, French website RMC Sport is reporting that Tottenham had a €13million offer for Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula rejected last week.

That equates to around £9.2million but the latest report claims Tottenham could come in with an improved offer in the coming days.

Imbula is hot property in Europe and the 22-year-old would be a fine addition to Spurs’ squad, but with a contract in France until the summer of 2018 his current club know they hold all the cards.
