Leeds United midfielder Tommaso Bianchi has been linked with a return to Italy.
Leeds United midfielder Tommaso Bianchi has been linked with a return to Italy to sign with Vicenza, report local outlet Vicenza Today.
Bianchi made 24 appearances for Leeds last season in midfield but his campaign was cut short by a knee injury.
The 26-year-old signed a three-year deal back in August, switching from Sassuolo.
He was linked with a move away from Leeds in January to former loan club Modena, reported the Yorkshire Evening Post at the time, but nothing came of it.
Vicenza finished third in Serie B last season, and last week it was reported they had lodged an enquiry with AC Milan over last season’s injury struck Leeds loanee Zan Benedicic, per MilanNews.it.

Bianchi was a divisive figure among fans last season, seen as a player lacking quality in possession and mobility – while failing to contribute offensively.
While a dogged performer when trying to win the ball back, even before his injury he had lost his place in the Leeds side to a rejuvenated Luke Murphy.
If he has a positive mindset and wants to stay at the club, then he could build on his first campaign in the Championship to be a useful squad player, but it would not be a surprise at all to see Leeds cash in.
