Jamie Carragher has hit back at Gary Neville in their light-hearted row over a Tottenham-related bet they made.
Carragher put his faith in Paulinho's goalscoring ability but that was proved to be misplaced, with Neville insisting the former Liverpool defender must wear a Manchester United shirt to honour his side of the agreement.
The Reds icon's response, however, read as above, with the 37-year-old refusing to put the red top on.
Neville came back again, though, and Carragher replied as follows:
@GNev2 Aww James..... It was double figures in all comps not Prem. I was out by 3 goals......you said De Gea was hopeless that's much worse!— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) June 28, 2015
And the former Manchester United defender had the last word for now, taking a dig at Liverpool's lack of winning mentality. It's almost as if the Sky Sports pundits don't have that much to do during the close season!
Worth a try he might catch that disease called " Winning" and spread it through your lot! https://t.co/eYTZAAWhCO— Gary Neville (@GNev2) June 28, 2015
Paulinho's clearly caused Carragher some bother with his lack of form for Tottenham, then. But the ex-Liverpool man certainly won't be the only one to complain about the Spurs midfielder in that regard...
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a big-money move to China, reports that sparked the whole Carragher-Neville bet debate. That even prompted one fan to report him to Barclays for fraud!
