Jack Sullivan delivers Lassana Diarra transfer update on Twitter

While West Ham have been busy recruiting, it looks as though this is one midfielder who might not arrive at Upton Park.

The son of West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan, Jack, has delivered a transfer update on Lassana Diarra on Twitter.

Unfortunately, however, it appears this is one target the Hammers won't be signing.

It might not be considered such a loss with the targets the east London side have been linked with, though, as well as the likes of Dimitri Payet and Pedro Obiang already being brought to West Ham this summer.

When it comes to Diarra, Sullivan Junior says it is 'almost impossible' to recruit the midfielder, with any interested club having to pay £10 million.

Sullivan is taking a more and more involved approach at West Ham, recently writing another edition of his column for the club's official website, while he is often announcing transfer news on Twitter - sometimes before the club!

Irons fans appear convinced Diarra will be no huge loss considering the east London club's recruitment drive this summer but the 30-year-old certainly has desirable qualities.

Slaven Bilic will no doubt hope West Ham won't regret the inability to bring the Frenchman to Upton Park - unless, of course, there is a major U-turn to come this summer...
