Arsenal star Ospina lined up to replace Tottenham linked Mandanda

David Ospina

Arsenal's David Ospina is being lined up by Marseille to replace Steve Mandanda, linked to Tottenham Hotspur - with Manchester United and Chelsea also part of the merry-go-round.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is being lined up as a signing for Marseille, report French website MaxiFoot.

MaxiFoot report that the Colombian international is a highly regarded candidate to replace Steve Mandanda, who appears to be one his way out of the club.

The Mirror reported over the weekend that Mandanda is being strongly considered by Arsenal's North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Mandanda is a France international and understudy to Tottenham's Hugo Lloris for Les Bleus. MaxiFoot report he is also a target for Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Merry-go-round

The projected moves are part of a goalkeeping merry-go-round being mooted at present, which is continually developing.

The first part of which hinges on Petr Cech's imminent move from Chelsea to Arsenal, expected by The BBC to go through this week.

This would make Ospina available given Arsenal already have Wojciech Szczesny as cover.

Tottenham meanwhile would only look at Mandanda if they sold Hugo Lloris, with the Frenchman reported by SkySports earlier this transfer window to be the favourite to replace David de Gea at Manchester United should the Spaniard be sold to Real Madrid.
