It's almost comical how many different sides the Mexican has been tipped to join this summer. But, according to Spanish newspaper AS, the Manchester United man is indeed a target for the Anfield outfit.
And... he could actually be the perfect Liverpool signing.
Indeed, the 27-year-old is, quite simply, a goalscorer. His biggest weakness is a laziness outside the box. But, inside it, he could be just what Liverpool need. After all, he scored goals for Real Madrid of all sides.
Hernandez wouldn't be like Mario Balotelli. He is sharp and can move well - even if only in the penalty area.
But with the creativity now on show at Anfield, that shouldn't be a problem for the Reds, should it? The Manchester United forward could be the ideal man to finish off moves created by Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino. And Liverpool desperately need a finisher.
Should Daniel Sturridge finally return to fitness, Chicharito may also be the perfect partner for him - and a more-than-able back-up.
The sweetest aspect of the deal, though, would be stealing someone off Manchester United. It would be even sweeter if he succeeded on Merseyside. Like a reverse Michael Owen - only without the major fitness problems.
