Tottenham and Stoke linked Yevhen Konoplyanka could be heading to Atletico Madrid.
The Ukrainian international has been the subject of strong links to Tottenham, with Eurosport claiming yesterday he was flying to London to discuss terms and possibly even undertake a medical.
The free agent is one of Europe's most in demand wingers, with The Express claiming earlier this month both stoke City and Liverpool were interested.
The winger has instead been spotted at the Adolfo Suarez airport in Madrid, with a switch to Atletico Madrid mooted by Mundo Deportivo.
It is suggested he could be in line to replace Turkish winger Arda Turan, linked with a move away from the club.
Sevilla had ruled themselves out of the race, while Mundo Deportivo still reference the claims about a possible move to Spurs, unable to add any further clarity beyond the fact he has been spotted in Madrid.
The Konoplyanka transfer saga has been particularly drawn out already, and it would be disappointing for Spurs to miss out having been reported to be so close earlier this week.
He would be a particularly piece on astute business for the always savvy Atletico, who have the potential to offer the winger Champions League football.
Konoplyanka's Dnipro contract expires officially at the end of the month, and his future may finally become clear once the calendar turns to July.
