Report: No offer yet for Newcastle United’s Papiss Cisse

St James Park

There has reportedly been no bid for Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse.

Newcastle United have not received any offers for Papiss Cisse, according to The Chronicle.

It has been reported by the British newspaper that Turkish duo Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce have been interested in the striker in the past, but there has been no bid so far this summer.

According to a report in The Chronicle earlier this month, Newcastle have put a £10 million price tag on the 30-year-old.

Should Newcastle United sell Papiss Cisse?

Cisse is one of the better players in the current Newcastle squad, and losing him now would be a blow for the Magpies.

The former Freiburg striker has been on the books of Premier League outfit Newcastle since 2012 and has a contract which runs until June 2017, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The Senegalese scored 11 goals and created six chances in 22 Premier League appearances in the 2014-15 campaign.

For Newcastle to break into the top 10 of the Premier League next season, Cisse needs to be part of the team.

However, if the Magpies can line up a better replacement, then they should be able to cope without Cisse next season.
