According to The Herald, Celtic expect to confirm Manchester United defender Saidy Janko as their second summer signing next week.
The Bhoys have already snapped up Manchester City defender Dedryck Boyata, and now manager Ronny Deila looks set to swoop on Manchester's other big club by signing Janko.
The Swiss right back, 19, has played just once for the Red Devils' first team, and having spent time on loan at Bolton under former Celtic boss Neil Lennon last season, Janko is now ready to leave Old Trafford permanently.
Reports from The Herald suggest that Janko has been given a tour of Celtic's facilities, and is expected to be announced as a Celtic player at the start of next week, handing Celtic their second signing of the summer ahead of the Champions League qualifiers later this summer.
With a permanent move anticipated rather than a loan deal, Janko is no doubt seen as one for the future at Celtic, with Deila ready to take a chance on his potential.
What would Janko bring to Celtic?
The teenager is known as being a physically impressive full back, possessing pace and strength to maraud up the right flank. He's also regarded as quite raw given his youth and inexperience, and may need to improve defensively during his time in Glasgow.
Yet with the ability to also play at centre back, Janko could be a versatile defender who plays a valuable role in the Celtic squad next season before - hopefully - playing a bigger part in years to come under Deila.
