Manchester United transfer news: Wife could decide Robin van Persie's future and Adnan Januzaj latest

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

According to a report in the Sun, Robin van Persie’s Manchester United future could be decided – at least in part – by the striker’s wife.

The former Arsenal star is approaching the final year of his United contract and, with regular football no longer guaranteed at Old Trafford, he could move on this summer.

According to the latest report, van Persie has admitted that is a possibility but that his wife will have the final say as to whether the couple leave England for pastures new.

Van Persie scored just 12 goals last season as injuries took their toll and at 31 it could be that he opts for one last big move.

In other news, the Liverpool Echo reports that Everton are continuing to monitor United youngster Adnan Januzaj and may attempt to take him on loan if he struggles for game-time during pre-season.

The winger had a relatively quiet second season at Old Trafford, following his breakthrough campaign under former United manager David Moyes the previous year.

And finally, the Guardian reports that Arsenal fear they have lost out to United in the race to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

The French international is exactly the kind of player United need to strengthen a key area of their squad but until a deal is officially announced anything could happen.
