Guingamp's Claudio Beauvue has been linked with a move to Everton and West Ham United.

Guingamp striker Claudio Beauvue has told reporters for the French publication L’Equipe that he has already agreed terms on a move to fellow Ligue 1 side Lyon.

The 27-year-old came to the attention of a number of clubs last season following a wonderful campaign with Guingamp, netting 17 league goals in 36 appearances.

As per a previous report in The Guardian, Premier League duo West Ham United and Everton were credited with holding an interest as both teams look to bolster their strength in attack this summer.

However, both the Hammers and the Toffees appear to have been pipped by Lyon for his signature, as Beauvue has told reporters how a deal is already in place to join the French giants.

“My advisors, Lyon and I have all reached an agreement on a contractual and personal basis. Only Guingamp can block the move. Now, we are waiting for an agreement from Guingamp that would allow me to join Lyon as soon as possible,” he revealed.

Should Everton or West Ham have made more of an effort to sign Claudio Beauvue?

Aside from netting 17 league goals, the talented striker also found the net five times in eight Europa League matches, proving he can step up when it matters.

Described as very good in the air with excellent finishing abilities, he would have been ideal for the Hammers under former boss Sam Allardyce, though that boat has now sailed.

The Toffees are in need of bolstering their strikeforce, but in Romelu Lukaku they have a powerful presence and what’s really needed on Merseyside is a nippy striker to compliment the Belgian.
