Former Manchester United defender Danny Higginbotham has stated on social networking site Twitter that Yevhen Konoplyanka would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Eurosport, the North London outfit are interested in signing the 25-year-old winger, whose current contract with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk will run out at the end of the month, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
This means that Spurs will be able to recruit the Ukraine international on a free transfer this summer, and former Derby County and Sunderland defender Danny Higginbotham believes that he would be a good signing.
@itvfootball will be a very good signing. Looked as though he was going to Stoke City. Intelligent player with an eye for goal from distance— Danny Higginbotham (@Higginbotham05) June 26, 2015
Konoplyanka is one of the better wingers in Europe, and signing him would be a great piece of business from Spurs.
The fact that the Premier League outfit will not have to pay a transfer fee is an even better incentive for them to recruit the 25-year-old.
Although many will doubt whether the winger will be able to adapt to the Premier League, the fact is that Konoplyanka has proved himself in European competitions.
Tottenham do need a creative winger who has genuine quality, and Konoplyanka fits the bill.
