The Ukrainian winger has been linked with a host of clubs this summer.

Tottenham’s efforts to strengthen their frontline could have been handed a major boost after reports emerged, via Eurosport, of Yevhen Konoplyanka's imminent medical ahead of a proposed move.

The pacey winger has been one of the most sought-after players this window and has been linked with a move to Spurs since last year.

The 25-year old is available on a free transfer after Dnipro allowed his contract to run down and he was strongly linked to Stoke and Newcastle recently, by the likes of The Mirror.

He had reportedly snubbed a move to Sevilla yesterday, as per Goal.com, and is now seemingly close to his preferred Premier League destination.

What will he add?

Spurs will know a lot about the winger from their Europa League encounters with Dnipro two seasons ago. Konoplyanka gave Kyle Naughton a torrid time on both occasions and also got the better of Kyle Walker on international duty for Ukraine.

He’s a speed merchant who operates on the left, cutting in on his right foot and has an excellent long-range shot on him. His pace and dribbling skills are his main attributes, which stretch opposition defences and would provide Spurs with an added dimension they lacked last season.

As well as Nacer Chadli did and as much as Erik Lamela improved, neither possess the traits to truly scare defenders and have them backing off consistently. Konoplyanka’s signing would provide that and could just be the best piece of business Spurs do all summer.
