Fosu made his first appearance for the club on the last day of the 2014/15 Championship season, coming on as substitute as Reading defeated Derby. He impressed in his first outing in senior football, earning rave reviews for a display of technical excellence and physical strength.
Despite only making that one appearance, the 19-year-old winger was linked with a summer move to the Premier League, with the Birmingham Mail claiming that both Aston Villa and Newcastle are keen on securing his services.
He would certainly be one for the future, but as is becoming all to common, the top teams are looking below them for young players to add to their academies.
However, this latest report, which sees Fosu sign a new two-year deal to stay at the Madejski Stadium, all-but rules out any chance of a potential move.
He has tied his future down with the Royals until the summer of 2017, and will be looking to build on his debut with a bigger role in the first-team next season.
Aside from his Championship appearance, Fosu was a regular at Under-21 level for Reading last term, missing only two games all season, as he scored eight goals to help the club finish runners-up in their youth division.
