Crystal Palace are interested in signing Ashley Williams from Swansea City this summer, according to The Mirror.
The Mirror has also claimed that North London outfit Arsenal wanted to sign Williams last summer, but the Gunners did not want to pay the £12 million transfer fee that Swansea were demanding.
Is a move feasible?
Williams has been on the books of Swansea since 2008 and is also the captain of the team. It is very unlikely that he will leave the Liberty Stadium anytime soon.
The 30-year-old is one of the better centre-backs in the Premier League and was a key reason behind the success of Garry Monk’s side last season.
The Wales international created six chances in 37 league matches, and had a pass accuracy of 85% and a shot accuracy of 33%.
Williams won 82 out of 142 headers, four out of six dribbles and 31 out of 80 tackles in those 37 Premier League appearances.
