Brazilian starlet Adryan has sealed a loan move to Nantes, report the official website of the French club.
The playmaker will have the opportunity to play in France's top flight next season with the club, and kickstart his career after an underwhelming time at Leeds United.
The Flamengo star arrived with a big reputation thanks to his record in youth football in Brazil, but the end product failed to match the hype despite a briefly impressive spell in November.
He ended the season out of the squad and even permitted to go on holiday while Leeds were preparing for their final two games of the season.
Speaking to Nantes official website upon completion of his move to the Ligue 1 side, he said: "I am very happy to be here . My dream was always to play in Europe and I have that chance today. I will do everything to seize this opportunity.
"I have seen for myself that it is really a great club. I have to do my best on the field to satisfy the fans."
Quizzed about his preferred role, he responded: "I am right-handed, but I prefer to play on the left side."
Adryan's career has now taken in spells in Italy with Cagliari, England with Leeds and now in France, he will hope for better fortune than he enjoyed at either.
Playing in France's top flight should be a better standard technically to the Championship, but he may find he is better suited to the division, which relies more on skill than work rate.
