Report: Everton and Stoke express interest in Barcelona youngster Adama Traore

Everton Goodison

The promising Barcelona B forward has been linked with a host of clubs this summer.

Everton appear to have their eyes on another Barcelona academy product after securing the signing of Gerard Deulofeu yesterday.

Indeed, Adama Traore, who operates primarily on the right but can play on either flank, has attracted the attention of several clubs across Europe, according to Catalan newspaper Sport.

Everton and Stoke City are listed as the two English clubs to have expressed interest, while Sampdoria, Genoa and Sevilla have also enquired.

The 19 year-old has spent the last two seasons with Barcelona’s B team but made his first-team debut last season and grabbed his first senior goal in the Copa Del Rey against SD Huesca in December.

The Spanish youth team international - who switched allegiance to Mali in 2014 - is the latest in a long list of graduates from La Masia who could soon be gracing the Premier League.

Is a move likely?

Known for his electric pace and dribbling prowess, Traore has bags of potential and his style of play seems suited to the Premier League.

It’s doubtful he could make an impact in England at stage in this stage of his career, however, so his ranking on the list of priorities for both Everton and Stoke is unlikely to be too high. One for the future...?
