Manchester United transfer round-up: United play hard ball over David De Gea

A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester United.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Manchester United will only sell David De Gea to Real Madrid if they receive a world record offer for the goalkeeper.

United’s number one is a target for the Spanish club, but the newspaper claims they are not about to be pushed around over a deal.

It means that the fee would certainly have to be in excess of the £32.6 million paid by Juventus when they signed Gianluigi Buffon.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Morgan Schneiderlin will likely complete a move to Manchester United next week.

United are thought to be at the front of the queue to sign the player in a deal worth £24 million, according to the paper.

Scheniderlin would likely sit in the midfield role, just in front of the back four under manager Louis van Gaal.

The Daily Mail has reported that Manchester United’s reported bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has been flat-out rejected.

United are thought to have offered a fee in the region of £35 million for the experienced defender, who is thought to be at odds with Real Madrid over his contractual situation.
