Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser set for new deal before Ipswich loan move

HITC Sport understands Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser is set to sign a new deal before joining Ipswich Town on loan.

HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Bournemouth are to hand Ryan Fraser a new deal before sending him out on loan to Ipswich Town.

Fraser is set to join Ipswich on a season-long loan deal as part of the deal that will see Tyrone Mings leave Portman Road for Bournemouth – as reported by HITC Sport on Thursday.

Scotland Under-21 international Fraser joined Bournemouth from Aberdeen in January 2013 and helped the club win promotion to the Championship in his first season.

The skilful winger made 41 appearances in all competitions in the 2013-14 campaign, but Fraser struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the side last season, but still managed 27 appearances as the club won promotion to the Premier League.

Fraser is entering the final year of his contract at Dean Court and Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is keen to secure his long-term future before sending him out on loan.

Howe remains a big admirer of Fraser, but feels the wide-man would be best served heading away from Dean Court next season in order to get regular first-team football under his belt.
