Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to Ray Wilkins news

Former Chelsea, Manchester United and Rangers midfielder Ray Wilkins will be part of Aston Villa’s coaching team next season.

Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the news that Ray Wilkins will join the team’s coaching staff.

The former Chelsea, Manchester United and Rangers midfielder revealed on Sky Sports on Thursday that he has been approached by Villa manager Tim Sherwood, and that he has accepted the invitation.

Wilkins is a well-respected figure in the footballing community, and he is certainly going to be a good ‘signing’ for Villa.

The 58-year-old retired midfielder has been in charge of Queens Park Rangers and Fulham, and has also worked as a caretaker-manager at Chelsea in his career.

Villa boss Sherwood is an ambitious young manager, and working with Wilkins is only going to make him better.

The Villans narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2014-15 campaign, and next season they will be aiming higher.
