Signed for £29 million from Hoffenheim, Roberto Firmino has been in impressive form in the Bundesliga and this video shows some of his best bits
Roberto Firmino took his time to adjust to life in Germany, following his move from Brazilian club Figueirense to Hoffenheim as a 20-year-old back in December of 2010.
Living in a small village in the Sinsheim municipality, the Brazilian struggled to adapt to life with a club that had been catapulted to the big-time thanks to the significant spending power of owner and software specialist Dietmar Hopp.
In his first two-and-a-half seasons with the club, Firmino managed 17 goals in 80 appearances and, though the performances were largely positive, the goals failed to flow.
But that all changed over the course of the 2013-14 campaign when the South American youngster found his feet in front of goal for Hoffenheim in sensational style.
In 37 appearances he managed an impressive 22 goals – five more than his haul over the previous two-and-a-half years and in less than half the games.
These weren't simple taps-ins either, with Firmino showing not only an eye for finding the net but doing so in style.
An official Bundesliga video of his five best goals from that campaign remains as testament to the Brazilian's ability.
It also serves as something worthy of repeat viewing among Liverpool fans after the club completed a £29 million deal for the attacker.
If Firmino can get anywhere close to this kind of form in the Premier League, it won't be long before the Anfield club are compiling a top five of their own.
