Richard Keys reacts on Twitter to Ray Wilkins’ Aston Villa move

Aston Villa

Former Chelsea, Manchester United and Rangers midfielder Ray Wilkins will be part of Aston Villa’s coaching team next season.

Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the news that Ray Wilkins will join the coaching staff at Aston Villa.

The former Chelsea, Manchester United and Rangers midfielder revealed on Sky Sports earlier today that he has been approached by Villa manager Tim Sherwood, and that he has accepted the invitation.

Former Sky Sports presenter Keys believes that Wilkins’ move to Villa will prove to be a success for the Premier League club.

Good move

Wilkins is a well-respected figure in the footballing community, and he is certainly going to be a good ‘signing’ for Villa.

The former 58-year-old midfielder has been in charge of Queens Park Rangers and Fulham, and has also worked as a caretaker-manager at Chelsea in his career.

Villa boss Sherwood is an ambitious young manager, and working with Wilkins is only going to make him better.

The Villans narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2014-15 campaign, and next season they will be aiming higher.
