Former Newcastle United defender Davide Santon is pondering a move to Watford this summer, according to Gianlucadimarzio.com.
The Italy international defender, currently on the books of Inter Milan, has been linked with a move to the newly-promoted Premier League outfit.
Crystal Palace are also interested in the 24-year-old left-back, according to a report in Tuttomercatoweb earlier this week.
Santon, though, had no intention of leaving Inter, as he made it clear on a post on his official Facebook page on Wednesday.
However, Gianlucadimarzio.com reports that the former Newcastle defender is disappointed that Inter have not shown their commitment towards him, and that he is contemplating on the offer from Watford. It has also been reported that the Italian full-back could make up his mind soon.
Struggling for good performances
Santon joined Premier League outfit Newcastle from Inter in the summer of 2011 and was expected to be a huge hit for the Magpies.
However, the full-back failed to live up to expectations, although injuries played their part in hampering his development.
The Italian returned to his former club Inter in the January transfer window and made nine appearances in Serie A.
Santon created 11 chances, had a pass accuracy of 90% and a shot accuracy of 75%, and won 17 headers, 13 dribbles and eight tackles.
In three appearances in the Europa League, Santon created two chances, had a pass accuracy of 88%, and won four headers, five dribbles and six tackles.
