The Danish U21 international is a Uganda-born attacking midfielder who has wowed supporters over the past 12 months, winning the Danish top-flight’s Player of the Year award in 2014.
The Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger is forever scouring the foreign markets in search of the world’s next top talent, and plenty of good things have been said about Pione Sisto.
However, according to the Spanish press, the attacker only has eyes on a move the Nou Camp, reportedly labelling the Catalans his dream club and Argentine superstar Lionel Messi his idol.
“Named Player of the Year in 2014, Pione Sisto told press at an AIPS Young Reporters interview that his dream is to play for Barcelona with one of his idols, Lionel Messi,” Diario Sport reveals.
A future at the Emirates Stadium?
Sisto is predominantly a right winger with an eye for goal and plays alongside former Arsenal prospect Kristoffer Olsson, following his move to the Danish outfit during the January transfer window.
A move to the Emirates Stadium could happen, but breaking into the first-team ahead of established stars such as Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Serge Gnabry would be a tough task.
The report states that for the moment the player is likely to remain in Denmark and continue to develop, though with such potential it might not be long until a switch to one of Europe’s elite clubs is agreed.
