The Romanian teenager has been scooped up by the Gunners and stated his style is similar to the German world-beater.
Arsenal have added to the talent in their youth ranks with the capture of highly rated Romanian midfielder Vlad Dragomir this summer, with the new man giving an interview with ProSport following signing a three-year contract.
The gifted youngster has joined the Emirates Stadium outfit for a fee in the region of £70,000, as per The Guardian, and is currently his nation’s under-16’s captain.
Dragomir has spoken out about his impending move to North London.
The teenager has admitted that he has not spoken with Arsene Wenger as yet and also stated that his style of play is similar to Real Madrid and Germany world-beater Toni Kroos.
"I am very glad for this step and I hope not to disappoint anyone,” Dragomir told Romanian media source ProSport.
“Arsenal's offer seemed to be the best for me - I felt that this was my place. I have just spoken with club staff, not Arsene Wenger, but I couldn’t be signed without his consent.
“Football and school come first now but in a year or two I want to play for Arsenal's first team.
“I'm a player with the profile of Kroos of Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo is my favourite player.”
Central midfield is an area where Arsenal boast an array of options, with the likes of Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey all vying for a place in the starting XI.
As such, Dragomir is widely expected to feature in the club’s youth ranks and will not be in first-team consideration for quite some time.
Should the Romanian show even a glimpse of the level of ability to Toni Kroos, the Gunners fans will want him thrown into the mix and brought through the ranks quickly.
