Manchester United media round-up: United show their hand over Ramos

A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester United.

The Daily Mail has reported that Manchester United have made an opening offer of £35 million to sign Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid.

The Spanish defender has been linked with a move to Old Trafford and the newspaper suggests they have now put weight behind the rumours.

The paper suggests Ramos is at odds with the Spanish giants because he’s not already been offered a new contract.

Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria has been quoted by FourFourTwo admitting that his Old Trafford career so far has been frustrating.

The Argentine winger failed to feature regularly in Louis van Gaal’s starting line-up over the second half of last season.

He’s explained that it’s difficult for him to describe how he feels about his current role with United because he’s not been in the team.

“Yes [it has been frustrating]. For me, and my family. Because not everything goes as I want, because I don't play - Because I came with an intention and end up on the bench. It's hard to tell how I feel there. I started well, with goals and assists. I was having a good time, until I was out,” he said.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is set to make a decision over his future within the next few days.

Manchester United are mentioned as one of the clubs interested in signing the Frenchman, who is reportedly keen on playing Champions League football.

The paper states that a fee in excess of £20 million will be needed to help United get the deal done.
