Liverpool striker welcomes new signing to the club.
The England international sent a message via Twitter to the Brazilian, reaching out to the new boy.
Liverpool confirmed via their official website earlier this week that they had confirmed a deal for Firmino for £25 million which could rise to £29 million.
@Roberto_Firmino welcome to Liverpool my friend. Bem-vindo ao meu amigo Liverpool— Daniel Sturridge (@D_Sturridge) June 24, 2015
Sturridge has particular reason to form a close relationship with Firmino, for he is going to be first in line to profit from the new signing's creativity.
Firmino provided 21 assists in 66 games for Hoffenheim over the past two seasons, figures which bettered any player in the Bundesliga during the same period.
If Liverpool can get their top stars fit and firing, they will have an attack to rival the best in the Premier League, especially if they can hold onto Raheem Sterling.
Firmino will wear the Liverpool number 11 shirt next season, as reported The Mail, with fellow new boy James Milner taking the iconic Reds seven shirt.
