Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck admires Chelsea’s winning mentality

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck speaks highly of Chelsea’s “winning mentality”.

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck has spoken of his admiration for Chelsea’s “winning mentality” in The Rabona Magazine.

The Blues won the Premier League title in the 2014-15 campaign, picking up 87 points from 38 matches.

“Obviously Chelsea won the league and credit to them,” England international star Welbeck told The Rabona Magazine. “They’ve been very consistent this season with their performances and results.

“There have been times this season when they might not have played that well but they’ve still got the results.

“They’ve got a winning mentality, they just move onto the next game and get those three points.”

Can Arsenal challenge next season?

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is a manager who wants to win at any cost, and that is a main reason why the Blues could clinch the title last season.

The London outfit came close in the 2013-14 campaign as well, and they will be favourites next season too.

Arsenal have been playing the best football in England for over a decade, but Arsene Wenger’s side have not won the championship since 2004.

The Gunners will be looking to reclaim the title next season, but it will not be easy.

The key for Arsenal will be starting the 2015-15 campaign strongly. If they drop points in the opening couple of months, then they will be playing catch-up yet again.
