Feddal is a free agent this summer, due to the collapse of former club Parma, and his agent has confirmed to TMW that he has received approaches from clubs in England, Italy and Spain.
He said: “We have offers in England and Spain, and also in Italy, we see [in] these coming days.”
The 26-year-old defender made 19 appearances in Serie A during the 2014/15 campaign, but could not do anything to stop Parma being relegated from the top flight. Although a transfer was expected following that relegation, it has become guaranteed in the following weeks due to Parma’s administration and collapse into Serie D for next season.
No one offered to purchase the club and keep them in Serie B, and so they must start form the lowest division next term, with all players released from their contracts.
Following his agent’s comments that offers have been received for his services from England, Italy and Spain, it should be suggested that Southampton’s interest is concrete.
They are likely the English team who have approached him, but there are no references to Celtic moving for Feddal. Either their interest has waned in the defender, or they are holding off any potential deal to see if other targets can be signed.
Either way, Feddal is sure to be playing with a different team at the start of next season.
