You can vote for who you want to feature on the cover of FIFA 16
There is usually a lot of debate over who should feature on the cover of the latest FIFA game. The honor usually falls to the previous season's top performer or a fan favorite who really stood out.
This year EA have decided to let the fans choose for themselves by opening it up to a public vote. The option to vote for your favorite star from the 2014-15 season will no doubt end some of the previous "controversy" often associated with the choice.
But let's not get carried away, you can't vote for any old Premier League player even if you think they are the best. EA have, for some unknown reason, selected four player for you to choose from and the choices are confusing to say the least.
So who have EA chosen to be the potential face of their biggest franchise? Lets take a look.
First up it's Chelsea Keeper Thibaut Courtois. An odd choice as you wouldn't often see a Goalkeeper on the cover of FIFA but he is keeper with last seasons Champions and it would be safe to say he was one of their standout players.
Next it's Tottenham and England superkid Harry Kane. This one seems like a no brainer, he couldn't stop scoring during the season and managed to carry his form into both the cup and International duty, permanently cementing himself into the collective consciousness.
We then have Manchester City's Sergio Aguero. Another player who shone last season and who is certainly one of the Premier League's top Strikers. He had a fantastic season and would thoroughly deserve his spot on the cover.
Finally we have a wild card that's frankly confusing, Liverpool's Jordan Henderson. Now Liverpool had a decent season considering their squad and the lost of their main Striker but quite why Henderson gets a look in is beyond us. You would have thought someone like Philippe Coutinho or Daniel Sturridge would have been possible choices but it's all rather strange.
EA appear to have missed a trick by not choosing more players to choose from but there we have it.
You can vote for who you would like to see on the cover on the Official EA Sports Website.
As an added incentive voting can earn you entries to win special FUT packs.
FIFA 16 will be released September 2015 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Windows, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
